Our vision is for people to be changed for the better when they experience a living example of land restored with a strategy, managed with sportsmanlike discipline, and then handed down with joy. We are restoring bottomland hardwoods. We are restoring natural wetland function. We are setting a model in place for owners to think beyond the consumer mindset. We are careful participants in something more enduring than ourselves.
In time, the McCartney Woods will be known not only for its habitat, but for the kind of men and women it gathers. A place where generations learn to hunt ethically, to lead well, and to serve as exemplary stewards for the future.
