Our stewardship and work on The McCartney Woods began at the very end of August 2025. This fall will be first year of pumping water with the sole purpose of attracting and protecting waterfowl during the winter migration. Many observations of how the water will move and hold on this landscape will begin, which will confirm or refine future improvement plans.
